Disney World has plans to start re-opening on July 11, according to CNN. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will re-open that day; Epcot and Hollywood Studios will open on July 15. There will be some changes. For instance, everyone will have temp screenings and must wear a mask. Parades are temporarily suspended, and the parks will operate at reduced capacity. The plan still needs approval from the mayor and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. "The theme parks define Disney for millions of its fans around the world," says Robert Niles, editor of ThemeParkInsider.com. "Returning its parks to operation signals that Disney is coming back to full speed as a company again." Opening is not without risks; refunds, sick employees and other issues must be resolved. "You just don't want the happiest place on earth to be seen as a dangerous place," says one Disney shareholder.
