It has now been confirmed that the first COVID-19 related death has occurred in Monroe County. Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza released a statement earlier today revealing that a patient who previously tested posted for COVID-19 has passed away at Rochester General Hospital. Out of respect for their privacy no further details were provided.
