Stephenie Meyer's long-awaited companion novel to the Twilight saga has arrived.
Midnight Sun is finally out and lets fans revisit the Twilight story from Edward's perspective. The novel has been in the works for over a decade as Meyer initially scrapped the project in 2008 after multiple chapters were leaked online.
As you get ready to fall in love with Twilight all over again, it's also a great time to revisit the tremendous soundtracks of the series.
With numerous original songs and plenty of tunes that soundtracked the saga's most epic moments, we've gone through and picked our 15 favorites.
1.Christina Perri - A Thousand Years
If there was ever a song fitting for two lovers that will live forever, it's this one. Christina Perri's ballad became an unofficial theme song for the Twilight finale.
2.Muse - Supermassive Black Hole
Muse just happens to be author Stephanie Meyer's favorite band so it would be no surprise they would be featured in the film.
3.Paramore - Decode
Paramore wrote the song specifically for the film and it served as a catalyst to help bring their music to a much larger audience. Plus, the music video is just plain awesome.
4.Lykke Li - Possibility
The song does a perfect job of capturing the emotion viewers have throughout the second film. Oddly enough, Lykke Li hadn't heard of Twilight before she was asked to write the song.
5.Iron & Wine - Flightless Bird, American Mouth
The song was used during the most romantic portions of the series as it played during Edward and Bella's first dance and again when they exchanged "I do's."
6.Florence + The Machine - Heavy in Your Arms
Florence Welch penned the song for Eclipse and had a fitting theme as it's about the weight of love and the burden it can create.
7.James Vincent McMorrow - Ghosts
If there was ever a song to help match one of the most climatic moments of the series, it's this one.
8.Vampire Weekend - Jonathan Low
Song aside, this is the perfect band to soundtrack the Twilight series. The band provided this song for Eclipse and it proved to be a more than worthy inclusion.
9.Bon Iver and St. Vincent - Roslyn
Normally it would be weird to have an entrance song on the way to a breakup, but the Bon Iver & St. Vincent track works perfectly for the scenario.
10.Iko - Heart Of Stone
Another original song that was written for the Twilight series, the ballad from the English-duo is one of the more gorgeous love songs to grace any of the films.
11.Linkin Park - Leave Out All The Rest
This was the epic song that played during the end credits of the first Twilight film setting the scene for the series still to come.
12.Death Cab For Cutie - Meet Me On The Equinox
The Death Cab For Cutie song served as the lead single for the New Moon soundtrack and treated fans to teaser clips of the movie upon its release.
13.Metric - Eclipse (All Yours)
The Canadian group wrote the song specifically for the Eclipse soundtrack with it being the very first track they wrote for a movie.
14.The Black Keys - Chop and Change
Like many artists on the Eclipse soundtrack, The Black Keys provided this song for the film, lending their garage rock edge to the movie.
15.Green Day - The Forgotten
The song that was featured in the end credits of Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Try not to cry.
