
LOS ANGELES (KNX) — No surprise here – you can find some of the priciest homes in the nation in California.
Homes in the Southland ranked in the top five nationwide.

Los Angeles and Orange counties ranked in the top five priciest places to buy a home, according to a study conducted by the National Association of Realtors.
The study from the National Association of Realtors ranked Los Angeles County as No. 5 with a median home price of at $860,900, an 18.5% increase over last year.
Orange County placed even higher, claiming the No. 3 spot with a whopping median home price of $1.1 million, increasing by 20% since 2020.
Those aren’t the only places in California that saw a huge inflation.
No. 1 San Jose swept the competition easily with a median of $1.67, beating No. 2 San Francisco at $1.35 million.

3. Irvine, CA
4. Honolulu, HI
5. Los Angeles, CA
6. San Diego, CA
7. Boulder, CO
8. Seattle, WA
9. Stamford, CT
10. Boston, MA
Overall, the study reported sales of a single-family home spiked 99% in 183 markets in the third quarter compared to 2020.
