Jeremy Renner has said he wrote notes on his phone that were to be his last words after his Jan. 1 snowplow accident that left him in the hospital.

Speaking with Diane Sawyer for an upcoming edition of “ABC News”, Renner says he would have died after being crushed by a snowplow if his nephew hadn’t been there.

"If I was there, on my own, that would've been a horrible way to die," Renner told the host. "And surely, I would've. Surely. But I wasn't alone — [I was with] my nephew. Sweet Alex. And the rest of the calvary came."

When Sawyer brought up the goodbye notes he had put down, the actor started to tear up.

"I'm writing down notes in my phone — my last words to my family," he said.

In the clip audio from 911 calls after the accident is played. One caller can be heard saying, “Someone’s in front of my house on the ground and got run over by a snowcat, he’s been crushed.”

Renner also claims he vividly remembers the pain he was in.

“I was awake through every moment,” the “Hurt Locker” actor said.

The interview airs April 6 at 10 p.m. EST on “ABC News.”
