Team Jacob fans rejoice!

Actor Taylor Lautner, 30, told E! News he could be open to entering the “Twilight” universe once again.

Lautner held the starring role of Jacob Black for the entirety of the popular film series’ run. His last appearance was in 2012’s “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.”
“He’s a good character that is easy to love, so I would never say no to that,” he said in the interview. “Because it’s Jacob Black. He’s a lovable guy.”
Lautner’s costars in the hit vampire flicks were Kristen Stewart as Bella and Robert Pattinson who portrayed Edward.
In the last “Twilight” film Jacob imprinted on Edward and Bella’s daughter, a character named Renesmee. Lautner said Jacob and Renesmee would be doing great if the story continued. The pair would be “happy ever after,” he concluded.
When portraying Jacob Black in his late teens Lautner had to keep up an intense fitness regimen for the screen and said these days he might not be so into all that gym time.
“The body was great for the role – but the amount of the working out and discipline and food that went into it, not fond memories. It’s tough because when I was 17, 18, 19 years old, I couldn’t do any cardio because I had to just put on as much muscle as possible,” he said.
He went further discussing the physical pressures put on him back then, saying, “If I would start like sweating during a workout, my trainer would stop me. And then we would finish a workout, and he literally would be like, ‘Go to Carl’s Jr. and get a double, triple cheeseburger.’ We were just trying to put on the weight. Now, I wish I could go back there in that sense because now it’s 90% cardio, and I’m not having any triple cheeseburgers, that’s for sure.”
Lautner didn’t talk about his “Twilight” time for the interview’s entire run, he also dished about his deep love for the dogs he and his wife, Taylor Dome have rescued. The pups are named Lily and Remi.
“They’re like our daughters. They’re like our best friends,” he said. “Both of them bring such a joy to our lives.”
Lautner was last seen in the Kevin Smith football movie, “Home Team,” which premiered on Netflix earlier this year.
