Families may be able to gather for Thanksgiving again after holding small celebrations in the COVID-19 lockdown last year, but things could still look different in 2021.
Reports are that the complete chaos at US shipping ports will lead to Thanksgiving dinner being more expensive than ever this year.
According to FOX 4, IRI, a data analytics and market research company, predicts that whipped toppings, liquid gravy, frozen pie/pastry shells, refrigerated pies, and bakery pies could be in short supply this year, along with canned cranberry sauce as aluminum costs are up almost 90%.
However, it appears there won't be a shortage of turkeys this year, though the birds may be more significant than average, which would add to the cost of your dinner.

"Shoppers might have a more challenging time finding a fresh turkey smaller than 16 pounds because demand is up due to smaller holiday gatherings, but frozen turkeys in all sizes will be in abundance," according to Consumer Reports.
