An animal control officer in Wichita Falls, Texas has become an unwitting social media star.

Last week, in celebration of National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week, Wichita Falls Animal Services posted photos of its officers posing with animals up for adoption.

Most photos got a small handful of comments.

Then, a photo of a handsome young officer named Zackry Majewski, posing with a female husky named Sky blew up on social media.

That photo now has more than 14,000 shares and more than 27,000 comments, many from women asking about how to adopt Zackry instead of Sky.

Majewski says he's taking it all in stride, and that there's something good coming out of it for the shelter. He says there's no jealousy among his fellow officers.

As for Sky, she was adopted last week.
