Comedian Steve Byrne has written and directed a new movie "The Opening Act" starring Jimmy O. Yang (of HBO's "Silicon Valley"), Cedric The Entertainer, Alex Moffat (of "Saturday Night Live"), Ken Jeong, Bill Burr, Iliza Shlesinger, Whitney Cummings and many others.
The movie, which is available on-demand, is loosely based on Byrne's own career in stand-up comedy, starting at Stand Up NY in New York City.
Byrne talked with Dave O'Brien about the movie, getting started in comedy and every stand-up comedian's "favorite" pastime - visiting morning radio DJ's.
