The Alan Parsons Live Project is coming to Denver to the Paramount Theatre on Thursday, February 10th. Tickets are available here.
The Alan Parsons Project was formed in 1974 at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London and had hits like "Eye In The Sky", "Games People Play" and "Dr. Tarr and Professor Feather". Despite their success, the band never performed live in concert until 1993 when the Alan Parsons Live Project started touring.
The namesake of the band, Alan Parsons, got his start in the music business as an engineer on such classic albums as The Beatles' "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be" and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon".
Parsons talked with Dave O'Brien about the band's current incarnation; about his instantly recognizable contributions to "Dark Side Of The Moon" and about what it was like to be in the studio with the Beatles, including what it was like to be with them on the rooftop of the Apple Corps headquarters for their iconic final live performance, a concert featured in the recent Peter Jackson documentary "Get Back".
