Electronic and industrial music pioneer Gary Numan has just released "Intruder", a new concept album that deals with the subject of climate change. The album was inspired by a poem written by his young daughter, Echo.
Numan, best know for his 1979 hit "Cars", has influenced bands from Nine Inch Nails to Smashing Pumpkins to Foo Fighters and Marilyn Manson.
He talked with Dave O'Brien about the album and climate change; his legacy and influence and his constant worry that he is going to run out of ideas and inspiration.
Numan will also be at the Gothic Theater in Englewood on Thursday, October 14th.
