It's official. "Deadpool 3" will be a part of the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Fiege has confirmed Ryan Reynolds is working on the script to the franchise's latest sequel and shared that the film will join the growing Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan is overseeing a script right now ... It will not be (filming) this year," Feige told Collider.

“We've got a number of things we've already announced that we now have to make, but it's exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life,” Feige added.

Reynolds confirmed the news on Instagram saying, “First order of business: Find the guy who killed Bambi's mom.”

The 44-year-old followed it up by joking further on Twitter.

"Full disclosure: I showed them Spiderman 1 & 2 and told them it was Deadpool 1 & 2," he captioned a tweet.

Originally released in 2016, "Deadpool" was a blockbuster smash grossing more than $783 million at the global box office.

The 2018 sequel, "Deadpool 2," was equally successful and made $785 million worldwide.
