The song is a nod to his wife of 26-years and fellow Country artist, Faith Hill, who McGraw has shared a fairytale love story with since the pair fell in love while touring together in 1996.

McGraw proves he is more in love than ever with the sweet ballad, “Her,” which sits at number 6 on the track list of his 17th studio album. “Her faith is strong and man, her smile's / Got blue sky right behind it,” McGraw sings. “If there's a bright side, then she'll find it / Sometimes I wish that I could be a little less like me / A little more like her.”

Sitting down with ET's Cassie DiLaura Tim shared Faith’s genuine reaction the first time she heard the tune. “She loves it!" shared Tim. "She makes me play it all the time... I've had enough of it, I don't wanna hear it, [but] she loves it!"

He continued, “She goes, 'This is about me right?' I go, 'Yeah, of course! Of course! You're the her.'"

“Her” isn’t the only song with deep meaning behind it on McGraw’s latest project. The 56-year-old recently shared with 100.7 The Wolf’s Morning Wolfpack with Matt McAllister he is proud of the project he’s put together with a theme he describes as “life-affirming.”

“This album is all about life-affirmation, about being the best person you can be. It tells stories, it’s very cinematic,” he explained. “You can sort of create your own movie and paint your own picture with every song.”
