LISTEN NOW: Maren Morris tell John and Tammy about her dreams of performing on Broadway
Ahead of her set at Stagecoach over the weekend, Maren shared her childhood dream of performing on Broadway and the role she has her sights set on. “My bucket list is, I want to play Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway,” she told KSON’s John and Tammy. “Having grown up just being obsessed with musical theater, that is the role that I would die to play.”

Maren put her answer to John and Tammy into immediate action tweeting Sunday that she was going to send an audition tape in. “Gonna send an audition tape in for Wicked on Broadway,” she shared. “What the hell. Let’s see what happens.”
Not long after, she posted another tweet about chasing “weird dreams.”
She didn’t have to wait long to “see what happens” as Kristin Chenoweth, who played Glinda in the musical, responded to her original tweet with nothing but encouragement.
“You could play either part. Call me and let’s chat. Come on baby. I got you. And you got the chops.”
Sounds like there’s a good chance we’ll be seeing Maren on Broadway, and we aren’t mad about it!
