Classy, bougie, presidential? While she isn’t throwing her hat into the political ring, “WAP” rapper Megan Thee Stallion celebrated Women’s History Month alongside Vice President Kamala Harris this past Saturday.

The Women’s Empowerment Brunch, co-hosted by Glamour, featured previous Glamour Women of the Year winners and those known for trailblazing the empowerment movement, including speaker emerita Nancy Pelosi, soccer star Ashlyn Harris, actress Nicole Ari Parker, model Lori Harvey, and of course Stallion herself.
Following the publicity of her assault trial against rapper Tory Lanez, the meeting surely had great significance for the GRAMMY-winning rapper. Stallion has always been outspoken about female confidence, capability, and sexuality, which directly connects her music to the event’s message.
Taking the podium, VP Harris’ speech addressed female economic power, paid family leave and the overall needed investment in women’s futures. “Economic empowerment of women is about an investment in the future of our country,” Harris declared. “When you lift up the economic status of women, you lift up the economic status of families and communities, and all of society's benefits.”
Stallion got a nod from the VP herself, who lauded the guests as, “a powerful group of people who are national leaders and global leaders, and I [Kamala] am honored to be able to welcome you all.”
And of course, the event wouldn’t be complete without Stallion striking her classic tongue-out pose with the laughing Vice President. She said it best, ‘I'm a Hot Girl, don't try it at home!’
