Normani broke the exciting news to her loyal fan base, nearly six years after initially sharing in a now-viral tweet, “I have my album title y’all,” a post that has often resurfaced over the years as more and more time passed without any follow up.

Whether Dopamine was on the brain back in 2018, who knows, and honestly who cares, because Normani’s album is actually headed our way, but like for real this time.

Sharing the album’s cover art on social media, which sees the singer wearing a black latex bikini adorned with chain accents, straddling a jet-black rocket, against a white backdrop. Normani wrote, “cryingg typing this rn. DOPAMINE THE ALBUM,” to caption the post, which also featured a parental advisory warning sticker in the bottom left corner of the cover.

Normani also gave us a little sneak peak of what to expect, listen below.

And while no tracklist or exact drop date have been disclosed, Normani teased her fans and followers by revealing the album will indeed drop this year. Posting a graphic that included both the album name and hers, however when it came to the 2024 release date, the month and date were strategically omitted.

Very few fanbases have had to be as patient for an album announcement as the Normani Nation. Tbh, only Rihanna’s Navy comes to mind. But alas, Normani is finally ready to deliver her debut, and while we still have to wait, and least we know it won’t be for too much longer. Stay tuned.
