Over the last few months the nation has become familiar with Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top expert on infectious diseases. He has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984 and of late has been a part of almost every White House press briefing on COVID-19.
But it turns out that several thousand people that believe the nation's top infectious disease expert should be name People Magazine's 'Sexiest Man Alive'! There's a Change.org petition floating around seeking to have him named for the highly anticipated award. According to the petition, "His comforting and intelligent demeanor has helped to lessen our national anxiety. He speaks truth to power, a strength few have at this time. His kind face and manner of speaking bring calm during the storm."
