Everyone knows Richmond loves it's Duke's Mayonnaise!
Duke's has announced the return of Hot Tomato Summer, an event they started last year to help local restaurants bounce back from coronavirus pandemic closures. Hot Tomato Summer is a weeklong event (July 18 - 24) that sees Duke's teaming up with restaurants to bring diners unique, seasonal pairings of Duke's Mayo and tomatoes. (Preferably Hanover tomatoes, you know what's up). Last year, Richmond's chefs blew the Duke's team away with their creativity. You'll find more than just new twists on the BLT or tomato pie - there's ice cream, seafood salad and more!
Last year's event was so successful they decided to bring it back and expand to Greenville, S.C. as well. In honor of the event and to raise awareness about hunger and food inequities in the greater Richmond area, Duke's and Sauer Brands will each be donating $5,000 to Shalom Farms.
Below you can find a list of all 50 of the participating restaurants in this year's Hot Tomato Summer event. You can read more about Hot Tomato Summer HERE.
