Modest Mouse fans have a lot to look forward to this summer. Along with a new album announcement, they've just shared their brand new single "We Are Between."

Before 2019's "Poison The Well" and the special Record Store Day 7" the band offered that year, the last we heard from Isaac Brock and Modest Mouse was 2015's Strangers to Ourselves. After that ultimate six-year break, they're officially back with The Golden Casket, due to hit shelves and streaming services on June 25 via Epic Records. Adding to the excitement, the band will perform at this September’s Life is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas with more live dates currently being planned.

The first single from the GRAMMY-nominated, multi-Platinum selling band's forthcoming release, "We Are Between," is driven by singer Isaac’s trademark vocals with lyrics that sway between “the best” and “the worst” parts, finally coming to terms that “we are somewhere between the dust and the stars.”

Produced alongside Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee between studios in L.A. and the band's home base in Portland, the album "hovers in the liminal space between raw punk power and experimental studio science," Modest Mouse explained in a press release. With Brock "exploring themes ranging from the degradation of our psychic landscapes and invisible technology, to fatherhood."
