This week both the governors of Texas and Mississippi have announced that they are lifting COVID-19 restrictions and doing away with mask mandates. Both states will permit all businesses to operate at full capacity and that includes concert venues.

These state decisions come after Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino noted that large-scale concerts could return by mid-summer on a state-by-state basis, with a greater likelihood in southern states.

Around the world the British government gave the all clear for large music events resuming at 100% capacity beginning on June 21. Immediately, Live Nation put tickets up for sale for three festivals, Reading & Leeds Festival on August 27 and 29, and Creamfields taking place August 26-29. Meanwhile, Las Vegas' Life Is Beautiful festival is moving forward with plans for their festival from September 17 - 19, 2021.

We are approaching a full year without concerts, but their return in America now appears imminent.
