Yeah...it ain't the same, I know. But you gotta find a way to have fun, and the Post has a bunch of suggestions for you to do that.
You could swap out family photos for famous people, or just random strangers, and see how long it takes them to notice. Subscribe someone to a ridiculous mailing list...send them a gif of those three dots so it looks like you're typing forever. Prank the kids into thinking they gotta go back to school.

CNN however, has a different take. The headline: "APRIL FOOL'S DAY PRANKS ARE NOT FUNNY RIGHT NOW. DON'T DO THEM."
