From a post-Oscars song to one from an incredible movie soundtrack, we had lots of award-worthy 90s moments this week.
MONDAY: Hole "Celebrity Skin" - after seeing all those pretty people walk the Oscars red carpet, we played heard from a woman who won a few acting trophies herself in the 90s: Courtney Love got rave reviews for her role in The People Vs. Larry Flynt in 1996.
TUESDAY: Toadies "Possum Kingdom" - one of two picks these week where the song title isn't in the lyrics
WEDNESDAY: Filter "Take a Picture" - allegedly this is about Filter frontman Richard Patrick getting wasted and doing things he doesn't remember on an airplane. The 90s were quite a time!
THURSDAY: Local H "Bound for the Floor" - this is the second pick this week where the song title isn't in the lyrics (not planned, it just worked out that way)
FRIDAY: Garbage "#1 Crush" - The Romeo + Juliet soundtrack is still amazing (that Radiohead song though), and so is this song from Queen Shirley Manson and company - and fitting for Valentine's Day, if you like your romance a little bit dark and twisted.
