Mark Ghaly, California's top health official as the Secretary of the California Health and Human Services, will be releasing a new set of guidelines today, Friday June 5th, allowing schools, gyms, and bars to reopen next week. The new rules will apply statewide to schools and day camps. The guidelines will also apply to a broad range of businesses, but only to the counties that have met the threshold of coronavirus cases in their county and received state approval. California Governor Gavin Newsom has been moving the state forward in a methodical "4 Phase" process to reopen. The businesses included in the guidelines are a part of the 3rd Phase.
