On Twitter, the “transparent soul” singer relayed, “Due to production limitations, I am unable to put on the show that I believe you all deserve.” She concluded, “Stay Safe, I love you all and I will see you soon!”

Due to the somewhat cryptic nature of her message, some Willow fans were left confused. One follower responded to the Tweet asking, “What does this even mean like r u not playing at any shows or just one?” Another followed up with, “so you won’t be in DC tomorrow ?!”

Initially, Willow was poised to be Eilish’s opening act for 11 different dates during the North American leg of her world tour. Happier Than Ever, The World Tour begins tonight, February 9, at Washington D.C.’s Capitol One Arena, which originally included an opening set from Willow.

The 21-year-old’s opening act performances were supposed to run through March 8, which included back-to-back shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City, and a final show at the Los Angeles Forum in April.

Other openers slated for Billie’s highly anticipated journey around the globe include Tykay MaidzaDuckwrthJessie ReyezJungleArlo Parks, and girl in red. As of now, nothing has been announced about finding a replacement for Willow and her upcoming run of dates.

While Willow seemingly won’t be joining Eilish on tour, the artist has remained busy. Recently the singer released her collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly (“Emo Girl”), which proceeds her collaboration with Pop-Punk royalty, Avril Lavigne (“Grow”). Additionally, Willow joined Travis Barker for a joint interview to discuss the rise in pop-punk music again and was recently named Billboard’s 2021 Comeback Artist of the Year.
