It's no secret Måneskin likes to show some skin, which is exactly what they did during Sunday night's 2022 MTV VMAs, both on the red carpet and onstage.

That said, clearly lead singer Damiano David’s ass-less chaps were all MTV censorship would allow. Seeing as just a few moments into their performance the network cut away from their “Supermodel” performance to show a 40 second areal shot of the seats.

Why you ask, well according to furious fans on Twitter and actual photo evidence, the band’s bassist Victoria De Angelis’ pasty and shirt fell off fully exposing her breasts. Which like we said, for Måneskin, is not a new concept.

Whether fans watching at home had caught onto the wardrobe malfunction right away or not, they were quite unhappy with the outcome of the broadcast and didn’t shy away from expressing their disappointment.

“MTV disappointed you chose not to show performance!! Repeated empty seats played! What’s wrong you!? Ruined their performance. Owe Maneskin an apology!” tweeted one viewer.

“I mean, Nicky can simulate masturbating on stage, but Victoria de Maneskin can’t show a covered nipple? seriously VMAS?? ☠️☠️☠️☠️💀💀💀💀,” tweeted another, referring to Nicki Minaj’s demonstrative performance.

“I waited until 5:30am for them and you show us 30% of their performance,” a fan from Italy said scolding the network. While another simply wrote, “Y’all ruined their performance.”

Cleary the chaps were all MTV could handle, but like seriously, they signed up for a Måneskin performance, what did they expect? Check out the electric performance below, censorship and all.
