DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) -- Cole Beasley and the Dallas Cowboys just can't seem to stop talking about each other this offseason.
As he had done multiple times prior to signing with the Buffalo Bills, Beasley had more critical things to say about the Cowboys this week. This time, he targeted their facilities.
"Actually if we wanna compare from a players perspective buffalo sh--s on Dallas. Facilities for recovery are top notch," Beasley said on Twitter in response to a fan's comment.
In a previous tweet, Beasley responded to a USA Today reporter's tweet quoting Stephen Jones as saying they made a run at the receiver in the offseason. Beasley obviously disagrees with Jones and decided to respond. "Ask them when lol," he wrote.
"Sounds like people need to do some research," Beasley added in another tweet. "We are doing big things over here in Buffalo. The Pegulas have it right."
On Thursday afternoon, Beasley had deactivated his Twitter account.
Beasley will get $29 million over four years with $14.4 million guaranteed, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. He will reportedly earn $17 million in his first two seasons of the deal.
"I'll always love #cowboynation and I appreciate the time we have had together. Thanks to the jones family for giving me a shot. Excited for this new journey. Can't wait to get started in Buffalo. Let's go! #BillsMafia," Beasley said after agreeing to the deal.
Beasley won't have to wait long to play against his former teammates. The Bills are slated to visit AT&T Stadium next season.
Ben Rogers of 105.3 The Fan reports the Cowboys wanted Beasley back, but weren't willing to go where several other teams were financially. NFL reporter Jane Slater reported the Cowboys offer to Beasley was for $18 million over three years. 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher added that the $14 million fully guaranteed that Beasley received matches up with the $7 million per year number the Cowboys were never going to get to.
Beasley and the Cowboys disagreed publicly over the wideout claiming that the Cowboys front office didn't prioritize him in the offense.
He had 65 catches for 672 yards and three touchdowns in 2018. In his seven seasons with the Cowboys, Beasley amassed 319 receptions for 3,271 yards and 23 touchdowns.
