2,500-Year-Old Mummy Discovered in Egypt

It was a discovery more than 2,000 years in the making.

Egyptian archeologists and explorers have excavated a 2,500-year-old mummy. The high priest was excavated with two other bodies.

The Discovery Channel took viewers along to see the underground tombs and hidden chambers of the burial site south of Cairo.

Some of the other mysterious artifacts found include an early Egyptian board game, the remains of a dog, a wax head and four jars used to store a mummy’s organs.

The explorers say that despite their amazing discovery they are thrilled there is still so much left to uncover and learn.
