Berea, OH (92.3 The Fan) – Browns receiver Rod Streater will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with a neck fracture on Monday.
Streater suffered the injury early in the first quarter on the punt coverage team when his head collided with Denzel Rice as he was falling to the ground after diving while trying to tackle Chargers returner Desmond King. King had a 32-yard return on the play.
Surgery for Streater is not required at this time according to the team.
Willies surgery – The Browns also announced that receiver Derrick Willies, who was placed on injured reserve Saturday after suffering a broken collarbone during practice last Friday, underwent successful surgery to repair the break.
Willies is still on track to be designated to return from IR according to the team.
Schobert out – Linebacker Joe Schobert will be “down for a while” after suffering a hamstring injury Sunday.
