PHILADELPHIA (94WIP) -- Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels are finalizing a record-breaking 12-year deal worth $430 million, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

There are reportedly no opt-outs in the contract. The new deal will replace the final two years of Trout's previous contract -- 2019 and 2020 -- and run through the 2030 season.

At nearly $36 million per year, Trout eclipses Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke's previous record average of $34.4 million, and the total value shatters the record set by Bryce Harper's 13-year, $330 million deal with the Philadelphia Phillies less than three weeks ago.

Many had connected Trout, a Millville, N.J. native and huge Philadelphia sports fan, with the Phillies in 2020, when he was set to become a free agent.

Harper has been very open about his desire to recruit players to come to Philadelphia, and Trout has always been the player on the tip of Harper's tounge when discussing the subject.

Speaking with John Marks and Ike Reese on SportsRadio 94WIP, Harper gave his most direct comments on his plans to recruit Trout to the Phillies

“If you don’t think I’m going to be calling Mike Trout in 2020 to have him come to Philly," Harper said, "you are crazy.”

Trout, 27, is on track to be one of the game's greatest players ever. He is a seven-time All-Star and two-time American League MVP with a career WAR of 64.3 in eight seasons, the most in MLB history through the age-26 season.

In 1,065 games, Trout has slashed .307/.416/.573 with 240 home runs, 648 RBIs, 793 runs and 189 stolen bases.
