Pete Wentz apparently almost had a role in an X-Men movie.
In the latest episode of his Loud and Sad Radio show on Apple Music Hits, the Fall Out Boy bassist reveals he was offered a small part in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. As Wentz explains, he got the offer while he was working on the viral, star-studded Jimmy Kimmel Live! sketch "F***ing Ben Affleck."

"'You're going to have to fly right from the 'F***ing Ben Affleck" shoot to Australia to film it,'" Wentz recalls his manager telling him at the time. "'And they need to know like, right now.' And so I was like, 'OK, cool. Let me think about it.'"
After finishing the shoot, Wentz decided that he did indeed want to take the part, only for his manager to inform him that "they actually cast the role" while he was thinking it over. And here comes the twist: the role ended up going to Lord of the Rings actor Dominic Monaghan, who was actually standing right next to Wentz in the "F***ing Ben Affleck" sketch.
"I was like, 'Are you f***ing kidding me? I was literally just standing [next] to this guy,'" Wentz shares. "And if he wasn't so nice, I'd be f***ing furious."
"When I watch the movie, I see his character and I'm always like, 'that could have been me,' you know?" he continues. "It's this tiny little character and it's this tiny little blip of a role that he probably doesn't even think about ever. I don't know."
Getting cast in an X-Men movie would probably end up meaning a lot to Wentz, since he named one of his kids Marvel, as in Marvel Comics.
