"Can't wait for you to hear it," she added.

The tweet arrived after a Reddit user posted a screen-shot of a new interview with Clark featured in the print edition of the U.K.'s Mojo magazine, in which she similarly stated that a new St. Vincent record was "locked and loaded."

In the interview, Clark also commented that the upcoming album would be a "tectonic shift" from her last effort, 2017's MASSEDUCTION.

"I felt I had gone as far as I could possibly go with angularity," she explained. "I was interested in going back to the music I've listened to more than any other -- Stevie Wonder records from the early '70s, Sly and The Family Stone. I studied at the feet of those masters."
