NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- President Donald Trump doesn't need to get tested for coronavirus or self quarantine, even though he spent time with two people who later tested positive for the potentially deadly disease, said Dr. Sean Conley, the president's physician.
Trump came into contact with the two men last weekend at a dinner for the Brazilian delegation at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
"The President's exposure to the first individual was extremely limited (photograph, handshake), and though he spent more time in close proximity to the second case, all interactions occurred before any symptom onset," Conley wrote in a letter to White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham (see letter below). "These interactions would be categorized as LOW risk for transmission per CDC guidelines, and as such, there is no indication for home quarantine at this time."
He continued, "Additionally, given the president himself remains without symptoms, testing for COVID-19 is not currently indicated."
