NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- While New York did not establish a curfew for Saturday night, the country's second and third largest cities did.
Los Angeles' curfew is 8 p.m. Chicago's curfew is 9 p.m.
The curfews are in response to the violent demonstrations over the past few days across the country.

MINNEAPOLIS - 8 P.M.
"A nighttime curfew is imposed in all public places within the city of Minneapolis, including streets, from 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020, until 6 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2020," read a tweet from the city.
LOS ANGELES - 8 P.M.
"The curfew has been expanded to the entire city to keep Angelenos safe. People in the City of Los Angeles are required to stay indoors tonight, starting at 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday morning," Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted. "Traveling to and from work, seeking or giving emergency care, and emergency responders are exempt."
CHICAGO - 9 P.M.
"CURFEW IN EFFECT: Until further notice, a curfew between the hours of 9PM and 6AM is now in effect in the City of Chicago," Mayor Lori Lightfoot tweeted. "Please stay safe."
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY - 10 P.M.
"I have signed a local state of emergency declaration, ordering a curfew that takes effect at 10 p.m. tonight until 6 a.m. Sunday after some protesters began to burn police cars at the Miami Police Station," Mayor Carlos Gimenez tweeted.
ATLANTA - 9 P.M.
"As a result of the recent acts of violence demonstrated throughout the city, Mayor @KeishaBottoms has signed an Executive Order establishing a curfew in the entire territorial jurisdiction of the City of Atlanta. Curfew will begin at 9:00 p.m. tonight and end at sunrise 5/31/2020," read a tweet from the city.
SEATTLE - 5 P.M.
"I will soon be signing an emergency order and the @CityofSeattle will be imposing a 5 pm curfew soon," tweeted Mayor Jenny Durkan. "Crowds need to disburse from downtown immediately."
