One Dead, 11 Wounded in Overnight Shooting in Minneapolis

One person is dead and 11 others wounded in an overnight shooting incident in uptown Minneapolis.  

It happened around 12:37 Sunday morning when authorities received numerous calls of shooting on Hennepin Avenue near Lake Street.

Police say shots were fired on the 2900 block of Hennepin Avenue by individuals who then proceeded north.

According to the MPD report, people in the area scattered when the shots rang out and the suspects fled the scene when officers arrived.

All of the people who were shot are adults.  

One man died at HCMC and the rest are hospitalized and expected to recover. 

Five detectives are on the scene investigating.

There are no arrests.
