Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The Trump campaign and Nevada Republicans announced Thursday morning that they would be filing a lawsuit in federal district court asking a judge to stop the count of mail-in ballots in Nevada, alleging that thousands of people voted in Clark County that either no longer live in the county or had passed away.

There’s a 30-day residency requirement in Nevada or you can’t cast a vote here.

The Trump campaign says they’re filing the lawsuit to protect legal voters, saying Clark County officials aren’t answering their questions.

As of 9a Thursday, Joe Biden holds an 11,500 vote lead in the state. On Wednesday it was just under 8,000.

Clark County, Nevada elections officials say they plan on hosting news briefings every morning until all ballots were counted.
