Rami Malek Named James Bond's Villain in Upcoming "Bond 25"

On the heels of “Bohemian Rhapsody”, Rami Malek has just revealed his next big project.

Rumored to be the main villain in the upcoming Bond film for some time, Malek and the official James Bond Twitter account have officially confirmed that he’s signed on to play James Bond’s mysterious nemesis in the upcoming 007 film, which is set to hit theaters in April of 2020.

While Daniel Craig is slotted to play James Bond for the fifth and final time, the still-untitled, 25th Bond film will also feature newcomers Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen, and David Dencik.

Fans hoping for a title reveal will just have to wait, as producers are honoring a Bond film tradition of keeping that info hush-hush for a while.

We don't know much about the plot of the movie (or anyone's name, really), but Malek says of the experience in a promotional video, “I will be making sure Mr. Bond does not have an easy ride of it in this,” which was posted to the James Bond Twitter page early on Thursday.

In an interview with "Good Morning America" Thursday morning, Malek says, “This is just such a perfect follow-up, I think, to ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.’” He goes on to say that he knows “quite a bit” about his character, but he obviously can’t reveal too many details.

Until more information is given out, fans are relying on the 007 Twitter to give them the most up-to-date details on the mysterious “Bond 25” film.
