The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City is bringing rock and roll history to life in a new exhibit.
The museum’s newest exhibit, “Play It Loud: Instruments of Rock & Roll,” features iconic instruments in music history.
Museumgoers can get up close and personal with roughly 130 famed instruments and costumes.
Some pieces include Jimi Hendrix’s Flying V guitar, along with John Lennon’s 12-string, and Keith Richards' custom Les Paul.
The instruments were donated from various institutions, private collectors and the musicians themselves.
The exhibit was organized in collaboration with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and will be open from April 8 to October 1.
