Illinois police said they arrested a juvenile Wednesday after two people were fatally shot during a third night of unrest Tuesday night in Kenosha over the police shooting of a black man, Jacob Blake

Commander Norman Johnson of the Antioch Police Department said the suspect was arrested on suspicion of first-degree intentional homicide. His name was not released because he is under 18. Police did not immediately release any other details.

Antioch is about 15 miles from Kenosha, where protests have continued for three nights since the police shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake.

Two people were killed, and another person was wounded Tuesday night in an attack carried out by a young, white man who was caught on cellphone video opening fire in the middle of the street with a semi-automatic rifle.

One victim was shot in the head and the other in the chest, Sheriff David Beth told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A third person suffered gunshot wounds not believed to be life-threatening.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported the suspect in the shooting had been identified as an Illinois young man. Court records show the Illinois teen has been charged in Lake County, Illinois as a fugitive from justice. That document, reviewed by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, said he faces a first-degree intentional homicide charge in Kenosha County.

Kenosha law enforcement officials have called a news conference for 1 p.m. Wednesday in Kenosha to discuss the overnight incident.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, based on Wisconsin law, the teen would be charged as an adult.
