Tottenham scored three unanswered goals in the second half of their Champions League semfinal against Ajax on Wednesday -- including the winner in the final minute of stoppage time -- to reach the final in miracle fashion.
Tottenham lost the first leg of the semifinal, 1-0, and fell behind 2-0 in the first half of the return leg in Amsterdam to fall behind 3-0 on aggregate to the scrappy Dutch squad. But Lucas Moura came up with a hat trick after intermission, capping it off with a left-footed strike on what was likely the team's last chance before the final whistle blew. Tottenham advanced to the final by virtue of having more road goals.
The astonishing rally came one day after Liverpool -- also from the English Premier League -- improbably overcame a 3-0 aggregate deficit with four goals against Spanish giant Barcelona in the other semifinal.
The Tottenham-Liverpool final is scheduled for June 1 in Madrid.
