NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The U.S. on Thursday surpassed 4 million COVID-19 cases, according to Johns Hopkins University.
But what may be more alarming, is that it took only 15 days from the number of cases to go from 3 million to 4 million.
Why? Because in comparison, the U.S. went from 1 to 1 million cases in 99 days, 1 million to 2 million cases in 43 days and 2 million to 3 million cases in 28 days.
About 59,600 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in the US on Wednesday -- roughly 300 short of the country's peak recorded in mid-April, according to the COVID Tracking Project.
