NEW YORK (WFAN.com) -- Mike Francesa has had enough with the constant speculation about whether New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is content.
"For once, can I come out of one game one time and not have there be a Beckham story of some type we worry about and everybody in this town worrying about whether he's happy, whether he is being utilized right, whether he is content with the game plan, whether he is on board, whether the coaches are connecting with him?" the WFAN host said in a fiery rant at the start of his show Tuesday. "I am so sick of this Beckham garbage. It is so overrated, and it is such absolute nonsense, and the media's caught it so badly."
Francesa noted that if you look at today's highest-rated and highest-paid receivers, only one -- the Atlanta Falcons' Julio Jones -- has even played in a Super Bowl. He also pointed out that the Giants are 29-47 since drafting Beckham.
"The preoccupation with these prima donna wide receivers in this new age of passing is so overrated, it is unbelievable. Enough!" Francesa said. "The best thing that could happen is they kick his rear end out of town and start over. Has it worked? He played in one playoff game, and he stunk. I am so sick of hearing about him, it's ridiculous."

After the Giants' 25-22 loss to the Eagles on Sunday, Beckham publicly questioned why coach Pat Shurmur's game plan wasn't more aggressive in attacking the Philadelphia Eagles' banged-up secondary through the air. In an interview with ESPN earlier this season, the star wide receiver questioned the Giants' collective heart, vented frustrations about the offense and would not say whether he was happy to be a Giant.
"Everything's a problem," Francesa said. "Since the Giants started kissing his rear end, they haven't won a game! Enough already!
"Geez, I thought Plaxico Burress was nuts. He's a saint compared to these idiots."
