B101's 2025 Christmas Choir Competition is underway! Here are important dates you need to know regarding our winner announcements.
K-8 Division: Sponsored by Hatfield
Our K-8 Semifinalist announcement will take place on-air and on our social media platforms (@B101Philly) on Wednesday, November 26th in the 6:00 AM hour. The voting portion takes place Monday, December 1st through Thursday, December 4th at B101Philly.com. Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner announcements will take place on Friday, December 5th in the 7:00 AM hour.
9-12 Division: Sponsored by Verizon
Our 9-12 Semifinalist announcement will take place on-air and on our social media platforms (@B101Philly) on Friday, December 5th in the 7:00 AM hour, after our K-8 Division winner announcement. The voting portion takes place Monday, December 8th through Thursday, December 11tth at B101Philly.com. Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner announcements will take place on Friday, December 12th in the 7:00 AM hour.
First place winners in both divisions will have their choir's song featured on B101 throughout the holidays and the school's music program will win a cash prize of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS! Plus, the choirs will be invited to perform their winning song during the Philly Pops: A Philly Holiday Spectacular on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 7:30 pm. The schools will also receive tickets to enjoy the show before and after their performance. The choirs will also be recognized at the Trans-Siberian Orchestra - The Ghosts of Christmas Eve concert on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 3 pm. The schools will also receive tickets to enjoy the show after the on-stage recognition.
Second place winners in each division receive a $2,000 cash prize and third place winners receive a $1,000 cash prize - all to benefit their school music programs.
