Dr. Matsinger is very well versed in this pandemic. Since Virtua opened its incident command center at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, he has overseen hospital operations, including adding safety measures and new practices and policies to reduce or eliminate the spread of COVID-19. He has led teams in pharmacy, lab, radiology, rehabilitation, and more to provide care for COVID patients in addition to those requiring care unrelated to COVID. He also guided their physician practices and medical teams to ensure ongoing access to care, and he oversaw the set-up and structure of COVID testing and vaccine clinics.
