In the midst of traveling for his live comedy tour, THE ERRORS TOUR, James Murray, aka "Murr" of the hit TBS show Impractical Jokers, the #1 unscripted comedy show on television, sits down with B101's Laura Boss to talk all about his tour, his upcoming movie, and what it's like to be on the 12th season of a television show with his best friends.

"There are so many funny, classic moments. I know this is a hard question, but, can you pick one of your top pranks, or top moments of the show?" asks Boss.

"I just lost an episode last week," says Murr regarding season 12 of Impractical Jokers. "It'll be on tv soon, and they made me work as a waiter in a restaurant in New York City. After going up to tables, finding out their dietary restrictions, allergies, or what have you, - I then walked over a few minutes later with a plate of skewers of beef. With my bare hands, I pushed chunks of beef in customers mouths in the restaurant. It was crazy. It was wild [...] We've been making the show now for 15 years. To still be surprised by people's reactions. This one totally shocked me."

While the "Jokers" can't disclose where they film upcoming episodes, Murr did give some insight on what we can expect at an outing in the tri-state area.

"I can't tell you where we're filming, for obvious reasons, but we're filming at a very large event coming up soon. I know this punishment because I have to know it in advance. I lose, and it's at a really large event we could never go to anymore because the show is too popular, because too many people would recognize us, but I will be in full prosthetics. My eyes will be a different color, I'll have hair, my face will look physically different, just to be able to attend that public event. So, if you are at a public event, somewhere in the tristate area in the next few weeks, and somebody's acting a little crazy, it's probably me."

Murr goes on to share that he would love to do a travel episode in Philly. "We try to do travel episodes to cities that have a really distinct character or voice, or type of people, and Philly fits the business."

As far as punishments go, Murr goes on to share that he tends to lose the most, while showcasing his current license as proof. "I still have no eyebrows because of the tv show. This is crazy. Do you know what it's like to go through TSA security? I travel every week [...] I look like Lex Luther."

While reminiscing on making a career out of his 35+ year friendship with the Jokers, Murr goes on to share that the format of the show is now worldwide, and how much of the show is scripted or improvised.

"I mean, it's an improv show," says Murr. "In my live show, we play Impractical Jokers live at the end of the show. It's like my closing bit. Meaning, I choose someone from the audience, give them an ear piece, send them out on the streets, and they have to do and say what I tell them to."

Murray may not be stopping in Philly while heading to Pottstown, but shares his love for the city.

"My wife is from Philly, we're there all the time. She grew up in Philly. The reason we live in central Jersey is because we got married, we met halfway in-between, that we she could still go back to Philly to see friends and family, and she makes me wear an Eagles jersey every Sunday. I'm from New York, I was raised a Giants fan, but of course now I'm an Eagles fan [...] Go Birds." Murr also shares that there is a video of him somewhere in the depths of the internet saying "Go Birds" at an Eagles game.

In addition to his love for Philly, Murr also dives into his new passion project with Pacific Southern Railway, the longest running professional model railroad club in the United States, located inside his new home in New Jersey.

"The night before it went for public sale, my wife and I bought the house to save the train club," shares Murr. His wife runs her candle business out of the house, Murr runs an Alzheimer's charity in tribute to his father out of the house, whom he bonded over trains with growing up, and serves as an active board member of one of America's longest running railroad clubs.

As a jack of all trades, Murr has also released 9 books, has adapted two screenplays, with a horror-thriller movie "Don't Move" coming out at the end of the year. In the meantime, you can see James Murray "Murr" perform live at SoulJoel's at SunnyBrook in Pottstown, PA this Saturday! Get tickets now.
