
Earlier this year, Philly native, and now EMMY WINNER(!!) Quinta Brunson revealed that the 'Abbott Elementary' production team and ABC agreed to take a portion of the budget they had allocated to marketing expenses and donate it to teachers. 'Abbott Elementary' is a sitcom that features teachers in the Philadelphia School District and took home three Emmys for its freshmen season including Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series, and one for actress Sheryl Lee Ralph for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
