PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Jalen Hurts is helping Philadelphia’s Northeast High School get out of the red zone.
The Eagles quarterback is giving $600,000 to fast-track an upgrade to the school’s air conditioning system.
In 2024, the Jalen Hurts Foundation provided $200,000 to install new air conditioning systems at 10 Philadelphia schools. More than half of the district’s 218 schools have inadequate cooling systems, often forcing early dismissals in hot weather.
The investment at Northeast High represents the foundation’s largest so far.
