According to multiple reports, 34-year-old entertainer Aaron Carter died Saturday at his home in Lancaster, Calif.

Carter, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, started performing at a young age. His fist, self-titled album was released in 1997 and reached gold status. His 2000 album “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)” went platinum.

Carter’s most recent album was 2018’s LØVË.

TMZ first reported that Carter had died Saturday. The outlet said that the “singer-turned-rapper and actor was found dead Saturday at his house,” and that multiple sources said he was found in his bathtub.

“Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they received a 911 call at 11 AM Saturday that a male had drowned in the tub,” said the outlet. Those sources also said homicide detectives had been dispatched to the scene but that there was no evidence of foul play.

TMZ also said that Carter’s home was surrounded by caution tape, and noted his struggles with addiction.

A source also confirmed Carter’s death to the Hollywood Reporter.

Last year, Audacy reported on the birth of Carter’s son, Prince. On Saturday, messages from fans began pouring in on posts from his Instagram page.
