It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas all around the U.S., but some cities are embracing the festivities more than others.

A new study by WalletHub ranked the best cities to celebrate the holiday season with Atlanta, Georgia taking the lead.

According to the study, most holly jolly cities rounding out the top five were Orlando, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, and San Francisco.

The top 10 included Seattle, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Portland.

Miami and Chicago followed closely behind in the 11th and 12th spots, respectively.

The study looked at 100 biggest U.S. cities based on 32 key indicators of a festive and affordable Christmas, including traditions, shopping and costs.

"Typical Christmas activities include shopping, dining out and attending holiday events, so the availability of such options can make all the difference," the study noted.

The study also found that in 2021, Americans are projected to spend up to $859 billion over the holidays, which is the highest amount ever.

Due to shortages caused by the COVID pandemic, prices for things like Christmas trees are skyrocketing this year.
