PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — One Pennsylvanian woke up $1 million richer Tuesday morning.

No one won the Powerball jackpot in Monday night’s drawing, but five tickets matched all five white balls to snag $1 million prizes.

Those winning tickets were purchased in Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Florida and Kentucky. The Pennsylvania Lottery said it was sold at Bethel Food Market on Naamans Creek Road in Garnet Valley, Delaware County.

Three other players — in Arkansas, Georgia and Texas — matched all five white balls and hit the Power Play option, increasing their prizes to $2 million.

Monday’s Powerball drawing was: 5, 8, 9, 17, 41, and red Powerball 21. The Power Play multiplier was 4X.

No one matched all six numbers, so the Powerball jackpot has increased to $1 billion — the third-largest Powerball jackpot ever and the seventh-largest U.S. lottery jackpot.
