A.J. Brown passes Mike Quick, becomes Eagles' single-season receiving yards leader

Eagles fans were hopeful that the trade for A.J. Brown gave them the missing piece for a Super Bowl run - but whatever happens on that front, Brown needed just one season to reach the Eagles' record books.

With a 35-yard grab on the Eagles' first offensive play of Sunday's season-finale, Brown reached 1,436 yards on the season, surpassing Mike Quick for the most receiving yards in a single season in franchise history.

Quick had 69 catches for 1,409 yards in 1983, when he played all 16 games, so there may be some "controversy" with the record, as Brown did not grab it until the team's 17th game (and he played in all 17). Regardless, the newcomer entered the game with 84 catches for 1,401 yards on the year, so he needed just eight to tie and nine to pass Quick as the most productive WR in the long history of the Birds.

Didn't take long, and didn't leave a doubt. Congrats, A.J.!
